Event Details
The Windsor Police Marine Unit is hosting three community outreach presentations this summer to discuss marine safety regarding human-powered vessels. Register and attend one of these 3 dates in order to learn more about required safety equipment, practices, and local waterways. Enjoy a complimentary beach BBQ, DEMO various recreational vessels from local vendors, and meet local marine emergency service members. See below for the full itinerary:

10am - 11:30am - Safety presentation on HUMAN POWERED VESSELS - canoes, kayaks and standup paddle boards. Topics include: what you need to know and how to navigate your way through local waterways, local water hazards, LIFEJACKET/PFD fittings, cold water rescue, and Peche Island Park by-laws.
11:30am - 12:30pm - Beach BBQ for charity! All proceeds support the Camp Brombal children's camp. BBQ compliments of the Windsor Police Association, Zehrs LaSalle and the Windsor Police Marine Unit.
12:30pm - 2pm - DEMO human powered vessels from local vendors, meet and greet with Marine Emergency Services, rescue knot tying, free give a-ways and more!
SPACE IS LIMITED - PRE-REGISTER BY MAY 28, 2022 (for the June 4th date), JUNE 25, 2022 (for the July 2nd date) and JULY 30, 2022 (for the August 6th date).
